'Waiting for Kate' explores what it truly means to be a Kate Bush fan - a special breed of people who are used to waiting decades between albums and whose devotion never waivers. This made me think: 'Is Kate late to everything?' 

As the recording of this song progressed I found multiple opportunities to reference the music of Kate - like secret, hidden messages to KB fans all over the world. Then I roped in an old friend, the amazing Suzanne Spiteri, to inhabit the 'Spirit of Kate' and the song took on a whole new meaning, becoming a conversation between the artist and the fan.
